






Beautiful clear morning, flying with hundreds of balloons. What struck me was the stillness, and silence - other than the quiet murmurs of our fellow pages, it was amazing quiet.

The balloon pilots would take us down into the valleys - it was eerie to be flying, and looking up at the edge of the valleys. However, a quick blast from the heaters, and we would be soaring to 750 meters - faster than you would think for a motor-less flying machine.

It is amazing to me how much the early morning light changes, when you move vertically. Here we are 2-300 meters up and the bluish light of dawn is already changing.
